National Cat Day: October 29th, 2018

National Cat Day was created to bring awareness to all of the homeless cats that are looking for loving homes. It was first celebrated in 2005. This special day was initially founded by pet and family lifestyle expert, Colleen Paige. It’s also supported by the Canadian and American branches of the SPCA.

Every cat in the world should have a forever home where they are warm, loved and treated like family. Cats are fantastic pets and are sometimes the funniest animals on the planet!

How can you help the ever-growing problem of homeless cats? Adopt! This will most definitely help the issue of cats flooding the shelter and rescues every day! In addition, spaying and neutering your cats will help in the overpopulation of cats around the world! Also, donating to a rescue organization or volunteering at one helps significantly in the care of the ones that are housed at such places! If this is something you would be interested in doing, please contact us at the clinic, and we will provide you with some organizations that would accept donations and volunteers!

Being a cat parent, no matter where the cat comes from is a fantastic thing! However, it should never be a responsibility that is taken lightly! Please ensure you have done your research and that you are confident you can provide a loving and happy house before you bring that special cat home!

Any questions or concerns about cat ownership, please give us a call at the clinic, and we can certainly help you with any questions you may have!
