Dog Fecal Exam

Dog Urinalysis and Fecal Exam

Urinalysis is a routine test that reports the physical and chemical properties of urine. Your dog’s urine can provide answers to if there are any underlying medical conditions. Fecal exams are recommended to be completed annually by your veterinarian to ensure your dog does not have any parasites and to ensure their long-term health!

Why are canine fecal examinations recommended yearly?

Fecal exams are recommended yearly to ensure your dog does not have any internal parasites which could cause an issue for your dog’s overall health.

If my dog’s urine test reveals a urinary tract infection, what can I do?

Your veterinarian will go over your dog’s urine test results with you and if there is any indication that the dog has a urinary tract infection, the veterinarian will provide a treatment plan!
